Event Leaders

These individuals are the backbone of our group, they make everything possible.

  • How are event leaders created?
  • Group leaders must listen to our organizers when presented with safety concerns. If an organizer requests that an invent be canceled or changed, the event leader needs to follow that instruction.

Enforcement of Rules

The ability to maintain the safety of the group is important and we will error on the side of caution when safety is believed to be compromised.

  • Any event leader, assistant organizer, co-organizer or organizer is empowered to enforce our group rules when they see something occur that compromises the safety of any individual. This includes the imediate banning of individuals from our group.
  • If group leadership becomes aware of any safety issues after the fact, they should be imediatly reported to an organizer or co-organizer. Rules will be enforced based on a consensus between that organizer or co-organizer and any other 2 members of leadership. If the nature of the issue is severe enough, it is appropriate for any group leader to provisionally ban an individual from the group while we investigate.
  • Banning an individual from the from for non-safety related issues should only be done with the concensus of 3 or more organizer level members of leadership.

Appeals

Any individual banned from the group will be given the oppertunity to speak with a group organizer to explain their version of events. If an organizer feels it is warranted to overturn any previous enforcement of our rules, they can do so with the concesus of 5 members of group leadership.

Banning Members

Occasionally we find it necessary to remove individuals from our group.

  • Any group leader can remove an individual from our group at anytime and without notice if they feel that an individuals conduct is threatening the safety of other group members, removed individuals can appeal to a group organizer if they feel they have been incorrectly removed from our groups.

  • We reserve the right to ban members for conduct even if it does not occur within our group if we feel that that conduct compromises trust and safety.

  • Banned members are removed from all of our groups.
