Pica hudsonia
The bobcat, Lynx rufus, is fairly common throughout Utah. They are however, rarely seen due to the secretive nature and ability to blend in with the environment. Primarily active at night, they seek shelter in rocks, trees, or hollow logs during the day. Bobcats are typically solitary, only associating with others of their species during breeding season.
