Desert Tarantula

A Utah native, the desert tarantula is commonly seen in the fall when male tarantulas leave their underground burrows in search of female mates.

The coyote is common throughout Utah, they are heard more often than they are seen.

Tarantulas are rarely seen as they spend most of their lives underground, only emerging to mate or if their burrow is disturbed.
